The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Regulatory & Compliance Officer to lead and oversee regulatory compliance, governance and quality assurance across the organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, Ofsted requirements, safeguarding standards and organisational policies while promoting continuous service improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance with fostering legislation, regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Support the organisation in maintaining Ofsted compliance and inspection readiness.
- Conduct internal compliance audits and quality assurance reviews.
- Review, develop and implement organisational policies and procedures.
- Monitor safeguarding, data protection and regulatory compliance across the service.
- Investigate compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Produce compliance reports, risk assessments and management information for senior leadership.
- Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation.
- Deliver compliance guidance and training to staff and foster carers where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with managers, social workers and external agencies to ensure high standards of governance and regulatory compliance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
Essential Requirements
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Experience working within a regulated social care, fostering, children's services or healthcare environment.
- Sound knowledge of UK regulatory compliance, safeguarding and governance.
- Experience conducting audits, monitoring compliance and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
- Excellent report writing, organisational and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable
- Knowledge of fostering regulations, National Minimum Standards and Ofsted inspection frameworks.
- Experience developing organisational policies and procedures.
- Professional qualification in compliance, governance or quality management.

Pay: £46,000.00-£52,000.00 per year
