HSL Chairs is a leading manufacturer of high-quality chairs sofas and beds, renowned for comfort, craftsmanship, and exceptional customer service. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Upholsterer to join our manufacturing team in Batley.
The Role
As an Upholsterer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality upholstered furniture to company specifications, ensuring excellent standards of workmanship and attention to detail throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Upholstering chairs, sofas, footstools, and other furniture products.
- Applying fabrics, leather, foam, and padding materials to finished products.
- Measuring, cutting, and fitting upholstery materials accurately.
- Reading and following production specifications and work instructions.
- Ensuring all products meet company standards.
- Working safely and efficiently within a manufacturing environment.
- Contributing to team productivity and achieving production targets.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
What We're Looking For
- Previous upholstery experience, ideally within a furniture manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of traditional and modern upholstery techniques.
- Experience working with a variety of fabrics, leather, and upholstery materials.
- Ability to use upholstery tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
