Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Care Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Care Practitioner, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to children in a nursery setting.
- Develop and implement engaging educational activities that promote early childhood development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, play sessions, and nap times, ensuring each child's needs are met.
- Lead by example and mentor junior staff members in best practices for childcare.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment that adheres to health and safety regulations.
- Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting activities as necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development through play and education.
- Ability to drive may be advantageous for transporting children or attending off-site activities.
