Role Details
- Position: Joint Kitchen Lead
- Location: CentrePeace, 56 Palace Avenue, Paignton, TQ3 3HF
- Hours: 24 hours per week Thursday – Friday - Saturday
- Probation: 3-month probationary period
- Interview: July 2026
- Hourly Rate £14.00 per hour
- Start Date: 2026

We are a true community hub where people from all walks of life can find help, connection, and belonging. Our centre offers a wide range of services, including free counselling, signposting, various workshops, and crisis support. The community kitchen and café are central to our mission, serving as an affordable, friendly, and welcoming meeting place, vital for fostering the overall well-being and social connection of our customers.
The Role and Responsibilities
As the Joint Kitchen Lead, you will work collaboratively to manage all aspects of the kitchen, including:
- Operational Management: Overseeing daily kitchen operations, including meal preparation, service, and efficient workflow.
- Visitor Well-being: Being very much involved in the well-being of our customers, ensuring the kitchen environment is welcoming, safe, and supportive.
- Team Support: Working alongside staff and volunteers, ensuring a positive and productive environment.
- Health & Safety: Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness
- Stock Control: Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to minimise waste.
