Big Motoring World Group is an expanding car supermarket group that is going from strength to strength and is looking to employ a Parts Advisor at our Preparation Centre Site in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast and progressive moving group as well as working alongside experienced technicians to help and support and your career development. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals with a self-motivating attitude, with an eye for detail and able to work as part of a team within a busy, fast-moving environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Learning all aspects of parts, both Workshop and Bodyshop.
- Providing the workshop with a constant supply of parts.
- Accurately picking parts to maximize efficiency.
- Communicating effectively and utilising your parts knowledge to make sure the correct part
- Reaches the correct technician in a timely manner.
- Training junior parts advisors to upskill their knowledge.
- Assist in managing stock levels to ensure the right parts are always available when needed.
- Process invoices, and payments using the company’s system.
- Help management with warranties, returns, and core part exchanges.
- Maintain accurate records of part transactions, deliveries and inventory updates.
- Organise and prepare parts for delivery or collection, ensuring they are packaged and labelled correctly.
- Provide any essential administrative support.
- Any ad hoc duties on request.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 3pm – 1am, Friday 3pm – 7pm.
Essential:
- Ability to work in a faced past environment
- Some knowledge of vehicle mechanics
- Enthusiasm for motor industry and willingness to continuously develop product knowledge.
- Hold a Full UK Driving Licence - Any job offer that requires driving company vehicles is subject to a DVLA check, and applicants with six or more penalty points or a previous disqualification may not meet our insurance requirements and therefore may not be eligible for employment.
