HGV Class 1 – Driver - Nights
Due to on-going expansion and a thirst for growth we are looking for an HGV Class 1 Driver for our site based in Ashton-under-Lyne - OL7. With a tech focused approach and core focus of moving freight efficiently throughout the UK & Ireland. The successful candidate will be driving a class 1 vehicle for trunking pallets into pallet networks.
The core role is to complete trunking runs from the local depot or customer premises to the hub based in Lichfield. This is Monday to Friday. Any work on the weekends is optional. Start and finish times are based on the network and customer requirements. Initially this will be a 6.30pm start.

This position involves:
- Completing vehicle checks, and the reporting of defects, as applicable.
- Application of load security.
- Efficient driving completing the trunking plan.
- Use of a hand-held signature capture or mobile device.
- Liaison with delivery points and customers in a polite and professional manner.
- Working in accordance with Drivers Hours Regulations, the Company’s Operating Procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
- Using their voice to help us make continuous improvements in weekly meetings
Pay
- Up to 50 hours = £15.80 per hour
- Overtime = £16 per hour
- Saturday = £125 minimum & £16.20 per hour after 8 hours
- Sunday/Bank Holiday = £150 minimum & £18.65 per hour after 8 hours
- Quarterly bonus = £200 per quarter
Rate of pay is reviewed every year.
