Solar PV Roofer – Light Renewables (Maidstone)
Light Renewables is an established, accredited solar PV and battery storage installer based in Maidstone, specialising in high-quality solar installations across Kent and the wider South East.
We are looking for a Solar PV Roofer to join our team, focusing on the roof work: mounting, fixing and securing solar panels safely and professionally on domestic and commercial rooftops.
Key roof-only responsibilities
Lift, position and secure solar panels and mounting systems safely at height on pitched and flat roofs.
Measure, mark out, drill and fix roof anchors, rails and mounting hardware in line with best roofing and PV practice.
Maintain watertight integrity of the roof around fixings and penetrations, following company methods and guidance.
Assist with panel layout on the roof according to the design provided by our in-house technical team.
Experience and skills
Experience in roofing, solar panel mounting or similar construction work at height is desirable.
Confident working on domestic and light commercial roofs with scaffolding and fall protection.
Good practical skills, accurate measuring and drilling, and a strong focus on safety.
Positive attitude, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a small on-site team.
Essential requirements
Full UK driving licence – essential.
Willingness to travel to sites across the UK and the surrounding areas.
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Right to work in the UK.
