MorePeople are recruiting for a Farm Engineer on behalf of a well-established farming business based near Ipswich, Suffolk.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a progressive agricultural operation, working across a range of machinery and equipment to keep the farm running efficiently through every season.
The Role:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of farm machinery, vehicles, and equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Ensure equipment is serviced and ready ahead of key seasonal operations (drilling, harvest, etc.)
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage spare parts stock
- Work closely with the farm team to minimise downtime during critical periods
- Some fabrication and welding work as required
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as an engineer within agriculture, plant, or a related mechanical field
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault-finding skills
- Welding and fabrication experience desirable
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently
- Full UK driving licence
