Due to ongoing growth, Oxford Event Hire is looking for a friendly, confident and enthusiastic Sales & Events Coordinator to join our team.
We are an established event and catering equipment hire company based in Headington, Oxford, supplying furniture, glassware, crockery, catering equipment and much more to weddings, corporate events, venues, caterers, festivals and private events across Oxfordshire and beyond.
This is a varied and exciting role for someone who enjoys dealing with people, has a natural flair for sales and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
You’ll be one of the main points of contact for our customers, helping them choose the right equipment for their events, preparing quotes, managing bookings and working closely with our warehouse and operations teams to make sure everything runs smoothly.
What you'll be doing
- Managing customer enquiries by phone, email & website.
- Building strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Understanding customers’ event requirements and recommending suitable products
- Preparing quotes and converting enquiries into confirmed bookings
- Managing and updating bookings through our CRM system
- Liaising with the warehouse and operations teams to coordinate orders
- Arranging non-stock items and keeping track of outstanding equipment
- Creating invoices and payment links
- Supporting our website and social media with regular updates
- Providing excellent customer service throughout the hire process
- Helping with the general day-to-day running of a busy sales office
What we're looking for

- Commercially minded with a natural interest in sales
- Proactive and able to use their own initiative
- Comfortable managing several tasks and enquiries at once
- Confident using computers and learning new systems
- A positive team player who is happy to get stuck in
Experience in sales, events, hospitality, customer service or a similar role would be an advantage, although full industry experience isn't essential for the right person.
