This opportunity is exclusively available to residents of Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Newham, Redbridge and Waltham Forest.
This role is being supported through the Net Zero Careers Accelerator (NZCA), a fully funded programme helping people access employment opportunities that contribute to a greener economy. The programme supports candidates into roles across sustainability, energy efficiency, retrofit, environmental services and green construction.
We are looking for qualified Carpenters to join a permanent team working across Walthamstow and the surrounding area.
This is an immediate requirement for experienced carpenters who can work independently and deliver high-quality carpentry work. The role offers either a day rate or price-work arrangement, depending on experience.
Level 2 Carpentry qualification required
Blue Skilled CSCS Card required
Proven professional carpentry experience required
£5 million Public Liability Insurance required
If you are not a British citizen, you must be able to provide an HMRC Share Code
Immediate availability is preferred
Candidates must be reliable, professional and able to work independently
Carry out carpentry and joinery works to a high standard
Complete repairs, installations and other carpentry works as required
Read and work from drawings, specifications and instructions
Measure, cut and install timber and other materials accurately
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
Work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship
Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment
Follow relevant health and safety requirements
Communicate professionally with supervisors, colleagues, clients and residents where required
Complete work within agreed timescales and to the required specification
Level 2 Carpentry qualification
Blue Skilled CSCS Card
Proven hands-on experience as a qualified Carpenter
Strong practical carpentry skills
Ability to work independently
Good understanding of site health and safety
