About the Role
Fixation Academy is seeking an experienced, motivated, and organised Multi-Sports Team Lead to oversee the delivery of high-energy sports sessions at our holiday camps. You will not only plan and deliver inclusive sports activities, but also act as the lead staff member for your group – managing registers, supporting Activity Leaders/Assistants, liaising with parents, and reporting directly to the Camp Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Lead your group of children aged 6–11, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and engagement throughout the day.
- Manage the group register and ensure accurate sign-in/sign-out procedures with parents.
- Complete professional handovers with parents, updating them on their child’s day.
- Plan and deliver high-quality sports and physical activity sessions.
- Support, mentor, and oversee Activity Leaders and Assistants in your group.
- Escalate safeguarding and behaviour management concerns to the Camp Manager.
- Take responsibility for risk assessments and safe use of sports equipment.
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect across all activities.
- Stay calm and solution-focused under pressure.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years’ experience leading sports sessions for children aged 6–11.
- Coaching qualifications or relevant experience in multi-sports.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge (training can be provided).
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong organisational and leadership skills, able to manage a team confidently.
- Excellent communication skills for parent handovers and team coordination.
- PLI insurance preferred.
- Paediatric First Aid Training
- Self-motivated, reliable, and calm under pressure.
