Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional waitstaff to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred, a training will be provided to the right candidate. A passion for food and excellent communication skills are key to success in this position.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure tables are cleared and reset efficiently for new guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation when required, supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Handle guest enquiries professionally, resolving any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Process payments accurately and efficiently using the POS system
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment
- Good communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and bills
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not essential
- A genuine passion for guest services and creating positive dining experiences
