Rise & Bloom is looking for an experienced Barista Supervisor to join our small, friendly and passionate team.
We’re looking for someone who combines strong specialty coffee skills with confident leadership and genuine hospitality. You’ll play an important role in maintaining the quality of our coffee, supporting the team and ensuring every customer receives a warm, consistent and memorable experience.
This is a hands-on role, so you’ll be expected to lead by example while being equally comfortable working independently during quieter periods or taking charge during a busy service.
You should have at least 1 year’s experience in a similar café or specialty coffee environment, with strong knowledge of espresso, milk steaming and café operations.
The Role
As Barista Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for supporting the smooth running of service while maintaining our standards across coffee, food, cleanliness and customer experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting the barista and front-of-house team during service
- Setting the standard for coffee quality, speed and consistency
- Dialling in grinders to our brand standards
- Preparing consistently excellent espresso and milk-based drinks
- Creating quality latte art and confidently working with different types of milk
- Working with our La Marzocco Linea PB machines and Mythos One grinders
- Having a strong understanding of our House Blend, Filter and Decaf
- Training and supporting team members to develop their barista skills
- Ensuring service runs smoothly and efficiently, particularly during busy periods
- Opening and closing the café independently when required
- Taking orders and processing payments
- Providing excellent table service and welcoming customers
- Preparing sandwiches and other savoury food
- Monitoring stock levels and communicating shortages or issues to the Manager
- Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the café
- Completing daily and weekly cleaning duties
- Handling customer queries and resolving issues professionally
- Supporting the Manager with the day-to-day running of the business

- Passionate about specialty coffee and consistently high standards
- Experienced in dialling in and maintaining coffee quality
- Confident with latte art and different milk types
- Organised, efficient and highly attentive to detail
- Able to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- A strong communicator and positive team player
- Friendly, approachable and genuinely passionate about hospitality
- Proactive, reliable and willing to get involved in all areas of the business
- Comfortable maintaining high standards while working at pace
Wine knowledge would be a bonus, although full training can be provided.
