Responsibilities
- Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in commercial, or industrial settings.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to complete installations accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and electrical codes.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out installation and repair tasks.
- Document work performed and report any issues or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
Skills
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools specific to electrical work.
- Extensive electrical experience with a strong understanding of wiring, circuitry, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
