INTERNSHIP - OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR WITHIN INTERIORS WORKSHOP
A fantastic opportunity for an Office Administrator Intern to join a high-end Interiors Workshop, based in West London who manufacture furniture and curtains for a number of bespoke projects around the world.
The Intern must be organised, proactive and self motivated as you will primarily support the Office Manager in the delivery of projects from procurement through to installation. This is a very busy role with frequently changing priorities requiring a strict methodical and structured approach, with a high level of detail.
The Intern will work alongside the Office Manager to assist with the following:
- Administration of Projects – preparing appropriate paperwork, checking client Purchase Orders, booking in fabrics, preparing worksheets for production – following company systems – a close eye to detail is imperative
- Prepare supplier purchase orders – maintaining relationships with suppliers/ understanding budgets and sense of urgency on orders with awareness of project deadlines
- FF&E sourcing for new projects
- Preparing of paperwork for logistics team – from local couriers to larger shipments of goods
- Assist with general office admin – answering phone calls (good communication skills and a clear, confident telephone manner to take messages), answering the door - greeting clients and taking in/out deliveries, making tea and coffee for client meetings/ high level of IT skills, filing, book travel arrangements, ordering office supplies etc…
The ideal candidate will have Bachelor’s Degree or higher (Interior Design/ Architecture preferred). You will have an interest in the industry (design/ interiors/ architectural) and ideally some experience within a typical administrative support role. You must be well organised with good analytical skills and the ability to work independently with initiative.
This is a 3-4 month contract (with potential to be extended) - full time position working Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (with probationary period)
The position is office based only – no hybrid working
Company Holiday Closure – one week at Easter, two weeks in the summer and two weeks at Christmas plus all bank holidays

This is a paid Internship on £14.50 per hour
