Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Paint Plant General Operative, for a client located in Ferryhill. This is a Temp to Perm role. Working in a team of approx. 5 people.
Paint Plant General Operative Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Working through various jobs without assistance.
- Selecting paint from stock for each new job, jig up parts ready to paint, masking parts from drawing detail, packing finished parts.
- General housekeeping duties as and when required.
Paint Plant General Operative Applicants:
- Ideally will have at least 1 years’ experience of working on a powder coat or wet paint plant.
- Experience of working to and understanding engineering drawings is desirable but not essential.
- The ability to work unsupervised.

- Our client reserves the right to move to 3 shifts, with consultation. (25% shift premium: Sunday 7pm - 6am, Monday to Thursday 11pm - 6am (20 min break). Monday to Thursday - 2:30pm - 11:00pm, Friday 12:30pm - 7:00pm. Monday to Thursday 6:00am – 2:30pm, Friday 6:00am – 12:30pm).

Initially starting on dayshift for induction and training before moving onto a 2-shift rotation. Hourly rates:
Days: £12.71
2-shift: £15.25
Day Shift:
Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm and Friday 8am – 12.30pm.
2-Shifts:
Monday to Thursday 2.30pm – 11pm and Friday 12.30pm – 7pm & Monday to Thursday 6am – 2.30pm and Friday 6am – 12.30pm.
Training and support provided to ensure ongoing development and progression within the business, alongside opportunities to mentor and support less experienced team members. Applicants must be 18 or over for health and safety reasons.
