HGV Class 1 Driver / Groundworker – Tree Surgery
Special Branch Tree Surgery Ltd is looking for a reliable, hardworking Class 1 (C+E) Driver/Groundworker to join our growing team based in Norden, Rochdale.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll be transporting plant and equipment, supporting our tree surgery teams on site and helping deliver high-quality work across Greater Manchester.
What you’ll be doing
- Driving our Class 1 vehicle and trailer safely and professionally.
- Transporting wood chippers, MEWPs and other plant.
- Assisting our tree surgery teams on site.
- Operating wood chippers and equipment (training provided if required).
- Helping maintain vehicles and equipment to a high standard.
- Working as part of a friendly, professional team.
Essential
- Class 1 (C+E) licence.
- Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph Card.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willing to work outdoors in all weather.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience in tree surgery or landscaping.
- Chainsaw qualifications (CS30/31 or equivalent).
- Chipper experience.
- Towing/plant transport experience.
