Overview
West Middlesex Golf Club is one of London's most renowned courses, and is busy with members and visitors all year round. We are looking for a Pro Shop assistant who is going to bring ideas and enthusiasm, excellent customer service and interactions, as well as a knowledge of golf and golf booking systems. This role would be ideal for an aspiring Professional who wants to learn in a fast-paced environment and gain experience in a number of areas quickly.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, offering assistance and information about products and services
- Manage daily retail operations, including inventory stocking, merchandising, and sales transactions
- Provide expert advice on equipment, apparel, and accessories to enhance guest satisfaction
- Oversee shop cleanliness and organisation to maintain an appealing shopping environment
- Assist with the management of membership using Club Systems and BRS.
- Assist with event setup, hospitality arrangements, and guest inquiries to ensure a seamless experience
Skills and Qualifications
- A knowledge and interest in golf or a willingness embrace the sport
- Strong initiative with the ability to oversee daily shop activities without supervision
- Excellent communication skills to engage confidently with diverse guests and team members
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Prior experience in customer service roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- PGA qualifications not required
