Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding and fabrication skills, with experience in structural steelwork. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the creation of high-quality structural steel.
Duties
- Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques .
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components
- Fabricate parts from drawings and technical specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into finished products or sub-assemblies
- able to troubleshoot issues during fabrication processes
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Inspect completed work for defects or inconsistencies, making necessary adjustments or repairs
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality
Experience
- Proven experience in fabrication of structural steel, with a strong understanding of welding principles and techniques
- Demonstrable expertise in fabrication processes.
- Knowledge of welding standards relevant to or similar regions
- Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Experience in assembly processes involving metal components is desirable
- Ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing or workshop environment is preferred.
