Brooklands Museum is the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation, welcoming thousands of visitors each year. Our café and event catering operations are a key part of the visitor experience - offering high-quality, freshly prepared food in a unique and historic setting.
We are looking for a passionate and reliable Café Cook to join our catering team and help deliver exceptional food during both day-to-day service and large-scale events.
The Role
As Café Cook, you’ll be at the heart of our food operation - preparing and delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
You’ll work across primarily in our café, ensuring food is consistently well-prepared, efficiently served, and aligned with our high standards of quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook fresh food for our café and busy event days

Deliver a simple, quality-led menu efficiently during peak periods

Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen

Support stock control, ordering and minimising food waste

Ensure all allergen and food safety standards are met

Work closely with the Café Manager on daily menus and operations

Contribute to a positive team environment and great visitor experience
What We’re Looking For

Experience in a fast-paced kitchen or café environment

Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen standards

Ability to stay calm and organised under pressure

A proactive, team-focused attitude

Attention to detail and pride in food quality and presentation

Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
Qualifications:

Food Safety Level 2 (minimum) required

Food Safety Level 3 (desirable)
