Volunteer Activities Facilitator
Relief Care Services Ltd is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Volunteer Activities Facilitator to organise and lead creative and engaging activities for individuals with moderate learning disabilities in the community. The successful Volunteer Activity Facilitator will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being and social engagement of participants through meaningful and enjoyable activities.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities tailored to the needs and interests of adults with moderate learning disabilities.
- Support individuals in participating actively in activities, ensuring they feel valued and included.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment during all activities, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with care staff and other team members to assess participant needs and adapt activities accordingly.
- Record participation levels and provide feedback on activity outcomes to improve session delivery.
- Assist with setting up activity materials and clearing away after sessions.
- Promote social interaction among participants to foster community spirit and reduce feelings of isolation.
- Ensure participants feel safe and motivated during sessions.
Skills and Experience
- Experience or knowledge in learning disability care /support is highly desirable.
- Experience in Arts & Craft , Flower Arranging, First Aid training, Basic IT training, Lieracy & Numeracy, Entertainment etc
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Fluency in English is essential for clear instructions and meaningful interactions, however, support will be available for candidates from non-English speaking countries.
- Basic IT skills for managing activity schedules, recording data, or creating engaging content are advantageous.
- Organisational skills to plan diverse activities and manage time efficiently.
- Compassionate attitude with patience, empathy, and treating people with respect.
