Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated female Support Worker who is motivated, enthusiastic and experienced people are required, with a commitment to promoting and maintaining an independent lifestyle for an individual with multiple complex care needs. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills while delivering care to an individual in their own home /family home. Care is conducted on a 2-1 basis over 24 hours and 7 days a week. Undertaking a range of duties to support the Client, you will work closely with other members of the team in providing the highest standards of health care.
Duties
- You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, backed by previous health care experience.
- Expected to do at least 1 sleep shift.
- Prepared to update all mandatory training as required.
- The post requires that you work independently to a very great extent.
- The post therefore requires that you work and conduct yourself in a manner that is acceptable to the employer.
- Reliability, integrity and complete trustworthiness are essential attributes in this post.
- Our client has a brain injury, she is dependent and requires assistance with full personal care.
- Our client has a purposely adapted vehicle to enable his carers to take her out in the community. A full driving Licence is required.
- Our client lives in her own purposely adapted accommodation in the shaw area, with a team of carers.
- Our client has a 24-hour care package with 1:1 support, 1 carer during the day, one sleep-in support. Carers will be expected to cover all hours (24/7) in rotation and holidays and sickness periods of other care team members.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with adults that require support (1 year)
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to inspire confidence and motivate others
- Excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships with the client, families, and team members
- Ability to remain energetic, patient, and adaptable in a dynamic environment
- Relevant qualifications or training in adult social care or education are a plus but not mandatory

Pay: Up to £14.50 per hour
