Overview:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, we are seeking a highly organised and proactive Operations Coordinator to join our busy office here in Salisbury. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the smooth operation of customer requirements from point of order right through to delivery as well as providing strategic support to both staff, clients and suppliers. This position demands proven time management skills, meticulous attention to detail, a good level of computer literacy and experience of delivering exceptional service within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Placing and managing of purchase orders with suppliers across the world.
- Maintaining accurate levels of stock.
- Arranging exports and liaising with freight agents & customers regarding deliveries.
- Liaising with Stores Supervisor and Production Manager regarding incoming deliveries.
- Setting up new components and products within MRP.
- Maintenance and updating of stock/products database.
- Administering periodic stock checks.
- Supporting all departments with administrative tasks to enhance productivity.
The ideal candidate will require:
- Proven experience in an administrative capacity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook etc).
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to learn and self-motivated, with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience in Sage and/or an MRP application would be advantageous.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
- Experience with importing/exporting would be advantageous.
