We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Pipe Fitter to join our team at NW Total Engineered Solutions. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting components to construct machinery, mechanical equipment, and pipework systems in support of our projects.
This role is subject to security restrictions. This means that factors such as nationality and place of birth can restrict your eligibility to apply for this role. All successful candidates will be subject to a BPSS security check
The Company
NW Total Engineered Solutions Ltd. is a specialist manufacturing and engineering company focused on delivering high-quality process equipment packages. Our facility is equipped with a broad range of core capabilities, enabling us to manufacture and rigorously test a diverse array of equipment.
We have particular expertise in pipe welding and mechanical fitting, which are central to the projects we undertake. Additionally, we offer in-house Level 2 weld inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) services, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability across all our work.

Salary
£35-36.5k
Key responsibilities
· Carry out the mechanical assembly of components to build machinery, pipework, skid packages, and steelwork erection.
· Fabricate and install components and pipework using a range of materials.
· Use a range of hand tools and mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
· Read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
· Identify leaks or malfunctions and take appropriate action.
· Inspect finished products for accuracy and conformance to specifications, ensuring quality control.
· Apply basic mathematics to measure, cut, and bend materials accurately.
· Communicate any issues or concerns to your supervisor or chargehand in a timely manner.
· Carry out all work in line with work instructions, processes, and RAMS.
What you need for the role.
· Proven experience in mechanical fitting or pipe fitting.
· Proficiency in basic mathematics for measurements and calculations.
· Competence using power tools, hand tools, and measuring equipment.
· Ability to assemble components accurately, with sound mechanical knowledge.
· A sound understanding of health and safety policies.
· Flexibility, as occasional extended shifts may be necessary.
· A valid driver’s licence.
· Willingness and ability to obtain security clearance.
