The Royal Surrey County Hospital Emergency Department sees approximately 75,000 patients each year. Due to internal promotion, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our busy team. Applications are welcomed from both full-time and part-time candidates.

Applicants must have a minimum of 6 months' acute ward experience at Band 5 level and evidence of continuing professional development . You should have an understanding of current issues within emergency care and be committed to providing excellent patient care.
The successful candidate will be required to work a rotational shift pattern, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. You will need excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and the confidence to use your own initiative as part of a multidisciplinary team.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience within a dynamic Emergency Department.

Examples of training we provide includes Plastering, venepuncture & cannulation and IV administration. We also support ILS, PILS, ALERT, ALS, ATLS, Mentor prep courses and have close links with the university.
