Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on frozen and freezer refrigeration equipment to ensure continuous operation.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct inspections of refrigeration units, identifying potential problems before they escalate.
- Repair or replace mechanical components such as compressors, fans, valves, and thermostats with precision.
- Collaborate with team members to lead maintenance projects and implement improvements on refrigeration systems.
- Assist with installation and construction of new refrigeration units or upgrades to existing equipment.
- Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and parts inventory to support efficient operations.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in commercial refrigeration systems, especially frozen and freezer equipment.
- Ability to read schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals confidently.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide junior technicians or apprentices when needed.
- Experience in equipment repair, troubleshooting complex issues efficiently and effectively.
- Knowledge of air conditioning systems is a plus, given the overlap in cooling technologies.
- Prior experience in maintenance or construction projects involving refrigeration or HVAC systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
