We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants / Support Workers to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the wellbeing and independence of those they support, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a caring attitude. The position offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives while developing valuable skills within the care sector.
Duties
- Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication management
- Supporting individuals to maintain their independence and dignity
- Implementing personalised care plans tailored to each individual's needs
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assisting with domestic tasks including light cleaning, meal preparation, and shopping
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Driving clients to appointments or activities when required (driving licence preferred)
- Ensuring a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others
- Driving licence is advantageous for roles involving client transportation
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends if required
