Duties
- Handle materials efficiently by loading, unloading, and moving stock within the warehouse using manual handling techniques and forklift trucks when certified.
- Operate warehouse management systems to accurately track inventory levels, update stock records, and ensure data integrity.
- Prepare orders through picking and packing items carefully to meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming shipments and preparing outgoing deliveries with precision.
- Stock shelves systematically, ensuring products are organized for easy access and maintaining a tidy workspace.
- Conduct quality control checks to identify damaged or defective goods, ensuring only top-quality items are dispatched.
- Assist with mechanical maintenance tasks or troubleshooting equipment issues as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or materials handling is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to operate forklift trucks safely; certification is advantageous but not mandatory—training can be offered for those interested.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory software is a plus.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and load/unload goods regularly throughout shifts.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate picking, packing, and stock management tasks.
- Mechanical aptitude or basic mechanical knowledge beneficial for equipment troubleshooting.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards safety protocols and quality standards.
