Key Responsibilities:
Sales Counter Support
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting customers with product queries and purchases.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain product displays and ensure the sales area is tidy and well-stocked.
Warehousing
- Receive and process incoming stock and materials.
- Organize and store inventory in the warehouse.
- Prepare orders for delivery or pickup, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Delivery Driving
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver building materials to customers.
- Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Conduct vehicle checks and maintain the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle.
Requirements:
- Experience in a builders merchant or similar environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of building materials and products is a strong advantage.
- A full, clean UK driving license is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of power tool repair or a willingness to learn.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
