Here at Silas Cove, we’re seeking hard-working and reliable Kitchen Porters/Assistants to join our team at our coastal beach bar based in Portwrinkle, Cornwall!
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work quickly and collaboratively with others in a busy environment. As a Kitchen Porter/Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the kitchen team preparing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy.

Role & Responsibilities
- Managing kitchen cleanliness and assisting the chef with food preparation.
- Maintain equipment and kitchen tools, ensuring they are clean, functional, and safe for use.
- Ensure high standards of hygiene, uniform and food hygiene and health and safety at all times.
- Manage your time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Keep the food and supply storage areas organised and tidy.
- Control waste management and recycling.
- Providing essential support to the kitchen team.
Requirements
- Strong teamworking skills and a calm, positive presence.
- Driving License
- Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.
- A desire to be part of the journey in developing and enhancing the business.
- Proven experience working within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment, contributing to memorable dining experiences for our visitors!
Pay: £13.00 per hour
