Role Summary
We are a growing care company providing high-quality services to the community. We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to take ownership of the day-to-day financial administration of the business, ensuring accurate and timely records. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced SME environment, is highly organised, and has a hands-on strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Bookkeeping
· Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks.
· Record bank transactions and carry out bank reconciliations.
· Process purchase invoices and supplier payments. Reconcile accounts payable.
· Assist to raise and record sales invoices, ensuring timely collection of fees from local authorities, NHS, and private clients. Record transactions and reconcile accounts receivable.
Reporting & Support
· Assist external accountants with year-end adjustments and ad-hoc queries.
· Support the management team with ad-hoc financial queries and projects.
Skills & Experience
· Minimum 3–5 years’ bookkeeping experience, ideally in an SME environment.
· AAT qualified or QBE (qualified by experience).
· Experience with care sector finance desirable but not essential.
· Confident user of cloud accounting software (QuickBooks) and Excel.
· Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
· Strong communication skills to liaise with staff, management, and external stakeholders.
