Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager to join our healthcare team. This pivotal role involves overseeing clinical operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care across our 31 bed nursing home. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in senior care, dementia, Alzheimer’s care, and working with individuals with disabilities. A strong background in management, case management, and medical procedures such as medication administration is essential. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage clinical teams, ensuring effective supervision and support for staff including nurses, carers, and support workers.
- Oversee daily clinical operations within the facility or service setting, maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Coordinate patient assessments, develop personalised care plans, and monitor progress to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications accurately in accordance with prescribed protocols and document all procedures meticulously.
- Provide specialised care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or disabilities, ensuring their safety and dignity.
- Support staff training programmes on topics such as anatomy knowledge, hospice care, ICU procedures, laboratory processes, and medical imaging techniques.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards through regular audits and quality assurance measures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, therapists, social workers, and external agencies to facilitate comprehensive patient care.
- Manage case documentation efficiently whilst maintaining confidentiality in line with data protection legislation.
- Assist in the recruitment process by participating in interviews and onboarding new team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in nursing homes with a focus on senior or hospice care.
- Demonstrable supervising experience coupled with strong team management skills.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and anatomy knowledge essential for clinical duties.
- Experience in dementia and Alzheimer’s care along with managing patients requiring specialised support.
- Prior involvement in case management or management roles within healthcare settings preferred.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to supervise multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare or management recognised within the UK healthcare sector are desirable but not mandatory depending on experience.

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
