Electrical Test Engineer – East London
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer in the East London area, on behalf of one of our key clients, to join their growing electrical compliance team. The role involves carrying out electrical testing, inspection and remedial works across housing association and local authority properties within 30 minutes of your home address (travel beyond this is paid).
Our client is a well-established compliance and safety contractor delivering electrical testing and maintenance services across tens of thousands of residential properties nationwide. Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their team with skilled engineers.
Responsibilities
- Carry out fixed wire installation tests (EICR) within domestic properties.
- Diagnose and rectify faults identified during inspection and testing.
- Complete and submit accurate certification using tablet-based software.
- Ensure all works are completed in line with current regulations and company standards.
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations at all times, reporting near misses, incidents and accidents.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
- Work a minimum of 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm), with opportunities for overtime evenings and weekends.
Experience & Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition).
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 Part 1 & 2.
- City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 Electrical Installations.
- City & Guilds 2391 required
- Proven experience within domestic electrical environments.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
- Full UK driving licence.
Package
- Basic Salary: £38,000/pa – £42,000/pa - (OTE £43,000 – £48,000)
- Potential earnings up to £60,000 per annum including overtime and bonuses.
