Van Driver
Location: Norwich, NR9 3AZ
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:00
Overtime: Saturdays paid at 1.25x standard rate
Start Date: Monday 6th July
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Van Driver to join an Environmental Health Service operation in Norwich.
The role involves driving a company van and delivering new council recycling bins to residential properties. You will be accompanied by a Driver's Mate who will assist with unloading and delivering the bins, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team while providing an essential community service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company van to deliver council recycling bins
- Complete deliveries efficiently and according to planned routes
- Work alongside a Driver's Mate to unload and distribute bins
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Provide a professional and courteous service to residents
- Adhere to all road traffic regulations and health & safety procedures
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (Category B)
- Previous van driving experience preferred but not essential
- Good understanding of road safety and driving regulations
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
