The Role
You'll be responsible for managing bookkeeping for a varied portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate financial records and supporting them with their day-to-day accounting requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining bookkeeping records for a diverse client portfolio.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
- Bank reconciliations and control account reconciliations.
- Processing sales and purchase ledgers.
- Assisting with management accounts where required.
- Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide ongoing support.
- Working with cloud-based accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
About You
To be successful, you'll ideally have:
- At least three years' bookkeeping experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
- AAT qualification highly advantaegous (or be qualified by experience).
- Experience preparing and submitting VAT returns.
- Good working knowledge of cloud accounting software, particularly Xero.
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with excellent communication skills.
