We're now looking for an organised, reliable and proactive Transport Planner / Loader to join our Transport team. This varied, hands-on role combines transport planning with practical vehicle loading responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive the right products, at the right time and in the right condition.
Key Responsibilities
Transport Planning Support
- Support the Transport Manager with daily route planning and delivery schedules.
- Update transport planning systems and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor vehicle availability and loading requirements.
- Communicate delivery requirements with Production, Warehouse and Customer Services.
- Assist in resolving transport and routing issues.
- Provide general administrative support to the Transport function.
Vehicle Loading Operations
- Load products safely and accurately in accordance with loading plans.
- Verify products against delivery paperwork.
- Prioritise vehicle loading to meet planned departure times.
- Report damage, shortages or loading discrepancies.
- Maintain safe loading practices and housekeeping standards.
- Support colleagues to achieve daily dispatch targets.
- Support colleagues across the loading team to ensure daily operational targets are achieved.
Health and Safety
- Follow company Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Use PPE and safe manual handling techniques.
- Report hazards, accidents and near misses.
- Maintain a safe working environment. Ensure loading activities do not place colleagues, drivers, products or vehicles at risk.
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You'll be comfortable balancing planning activities with practical loading duties and take pride in delivering excellent customer service.
Essential
- Organised with good attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic IT skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Committed to Health & Safety.
Desirable
- Transport planning or logistics experience.
- Warehouse or manufacturing experience.
- FLT licence.
- HGV licence or shunting experience.

Pay: From £26,436.80 per year
