Cutting Edge are currently recruiting for an assistant with an interest in assembly/ joinery. This role would be ideal for someone is looking to utilise the skills you have learnt or someone who is practical with their hands and has some experience using hand tools and power tools. You will need to be hands-on and have a genuine interest in how things are made.
Cutting Edge is a fast growing company , producing toilet cubicles and washtroughs. We have a good mix of standard products and bespoke items so that we have processes in place for the standard items and the chance to develop your skills with the bespoke items. This make Cutting Edge an exciting place to work and learn. There will be scope to increase pay through overtime as required.
You will be trained / responsible for:
- Moving material/loading material onto the CNC machines
- Installing ironmonery onto panels i.e. locks, hinges etc
- Working with hand tools and power tools as well as operating simple machinery.
- Packaging of the finished goods
- Putting goods away when they arrive
Skills and Experience
- Must be eager and willing to learn new skills
- Must be interested in how products are made
- Must be able to use hand tools and have some experience with building things at home or in education
- Can read, write and communicate effectively
- Must be reliable, responsible, punctual, tidy and polite
Working hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday
