We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As Head Chef, you will be hands on and oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, from menu development to staff management, ensuring the highest quality of food and service. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
- Manage food production processes, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor performance
- Control inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Train new team members in food preparation, safety procedures, and customer service standards
- Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and cleanliness
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
- Excellent cooking skills across various cuisines and techniques
- Previous Country Inn experience desireable with a focus on high-quality service standards
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Experience in menu development and cost control is desirable
- Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer experiences
Pay: £30,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
