Overview:
The Engineering Technical Process Author will support Platform Integration governance activities through the definition, documentation, and maintenance of controlled engineering processes aligned to ISO 9001 and clients QMS requirements.
The role will support engineering governance, release readiness, audit compliance, and controlled documentation activities across Integration and Release environments.
Responsibilities:
- Define, document, and maintain engineering processes supporting Platform Systems Integration activities

Create and update engineering procedures and detailed work instructions within controlled documentation frameworks

Support engineering governance activities aligned to ISO 9001 and JLR QMS requirements

Develop process maps, RASICs, governance workflows, and supporting artefacts

Support audit readiness, documentation traceability, and compliance evidence activities

Review existing engineering processes to identify governance gaps and improvement opportunities

Support integration checkpoints, interface maturity reviews, and release governance activities

Coordinate stakeholder review cycles and process approval activities

Support continuous improvement and standardisation of engineering governance processes
Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Automotive, Systems Engineering, or related discipline desirable
Experience working within automotive OEM or complex engineering delivery environments
Essential skills:
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 process-based management and engineering governance

Proven experience authoring engineering processes, procedures, and work instructions

Experience supporting QMS compliance and controlled documentation governance

Strong technical writing capability with high accuracy and structured documentation skills

Ability to analyse complex engineering activities and convert them into measurable governance processes

Understanding of release governance, integration readiness, and configuration management activities desirable

Experience within automotive engineering, systems integration, or multidisciplinary engineering environments preferred

Familiarity with software/hardware release governance and configuration management is essential
