The main purpose of the role is to report and work under the supervision of the Team Leader to assist with the admin/engineering support for all projects and undertake duties within a multidiscipline Engineering and Operations.
Main responsibilities
· Responsible for updating and advising Team Leader of any problems/queries on any ongoing jobs
· Responsible for assisting with the administration of assigned project files, documentation files and the compilation of controlled documents, as required
· Liaison with departmental engineers and update / review of activity register
· Assisting with the preparation of basic / low value CTR’s for engineer review
· Assisting with the preparation of enquires for spare parts and hire equipment, including quotes, mobilisation and invoicing
· Assisting with the preparation of bills of materials & the completion of purchase requisitions
· Assisting with project work and reporting.
· Assisting with expediting of materials and equipment
· Assisting with the preparation of Job Cards to include work instructions, due dates, quality checks, reference drawings, procedures etc. for basic engineering projects.
· Assist in the preparation of work packs for generic jobs, e.g. CCE’s, Planned Maintenance works
· Assisting with the arrangements for equipment despatch and transportation
HSEQ responsibilities
· It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with the Company's HSEQ Policy and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Sparrows Integrated Management System. The incumbent must report any incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems to their Line Manager.
· The incumbent also has legal responsibilities under country-specific health and safety legislation to follow all Company processes and procedures and familiarise themselves with the emergency response arrangements applicable to them. The incumbent is also responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises.
Qualifications and experience
· Computer Literate
· Good communicator
· Highers in Science subject, English and Mathematics (or equivalent)
