The Duke of Cambridge is an award-winning gastropub in the heart of Tilford, renowned for exceptional food, outstanding hospitality and maintaining the highest standards throughout our venue.
We're looking for a reliable, hardworking and experienced Cleaner to join our team and help ensure our pub is presented to the highest standard every day before we open.
This is an important role within our business, and we're looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work and has an excellent eye for detail.
The Role
Working independently each morning, you'll be responsible for cleaning and preparing all customer-facing areas and ensuring the premises are spotless and ready to welcome our guests.
Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Cleaning the restaurant and barn dining areas
- Cleaning all customer and staff toilets
- Cleaning internal windows, entrance doors and mirrors
- Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping all floors
- Dusting and wiping all surfaces
- Emptying bins and replenishing consumables
- Ensuring all public areas are clean, fresh and presentable
- Reporting any maintenance issues or health & safety concerns
- Using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and responsibly
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous professional cleaning experience (essential)
- Takes pride in producing exceptional cleaning standards
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- Is physically fit and capable of lifting, carrying and operating cleaning equipment
- Can work independently with minimal supervision
- Has a positive, can-do attitude
Essential Requirements
✔ Previous commercial cleaning experience
✔ Own transport is essential due to our rural location
✔ Able to work every Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning
✔ Eligible to work in the UK
