Metrology Engineer - West Midlands
The role of Metrology Engineer:
- Measure and test products to verify and validate conformance to specification
- Develop measurement techniques, MSA, and create measurement programs and test procedures
- Undertake dimensional investigations and analysis of metrology data to improve tooling and processes
- Measurements of production and NPI parts using contact and non-contact CMMs
- Development of measurement techniques for production and quality control
- Input into gauge concepts and design
- Creating measurement programs for contact and non-contact CMMs
- Undertaking PPAP and Annual Layout Inspections
- Ensure compliance with IATF16949, ISO9001, and ISO13485
The ideal Metrology Engineer:
- Experience with CMM programming and metrology in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of IATF16949, ISO9001, and ISO13485
