The Role
We are recruiting on behalf of an established and growing business within the temporary access and site solutions sector for Trackway Installer Operatives to join their operations team.
This is a hands-on, physically active role working as part of a small crew to install and recover temporary access systems at sites across the UK. Projects can be based in remote locations and will involve working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
The role requires flexibility, as you will regularly work away from home during the week, with accommodation and transport to site provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the installation and removal of temporary access matting
- Working alongside Drivers and Plant Operators as part of a two or three-person crew
- Preparing mats, pins and equipment for installation and transportation
- Assisting with the operation of heavy equipment where trained and authorised
- Using hand tools safely and effectively
- Following instructions accurately while working on site
- Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures and site rules
- Supporting loading, unloading and general operational duties
- Working at sites across the UK, including remote locations
- Maintaining high standards of teamwork and professionalism
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence - essential
- Comfortable working away from home Monday to Friday when required
- Willing and able to travel throughout the UK
- Able to undertake physically demanding outdoor work
- Comfortable working in different weather conditions
- Able to work flexible hours including days, nights and occasional weekends
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Able to follow instructions and work safely
- Construction or utilities experience would be advantageous
- CSCS card desirable but not essential
Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Relevant pre-employment checks will also be required.
