Tutor Doctor Newcastle Upon Tyne cover the North East of the country and are the fastest growing Tutor Doctor office in the UK. Primarily supporting Local Councils and both Primary and Secondary Schools. We focus on supporting students following an Alternative Provision Pathway as well as students accessing school who require some extra support. This includes students who are in receipt of an EHCP.
We are currently looking for qualified tutors who have experience tutoring and have availability during the day. Tutors will need to be caring, nurturing and flexible who have the patience and expertise to support children and young people who may be vulnerable or have a range of neurodiverse challenges. Student may have a range of SEN needs and/or behavioural difficulties.
Tuition will be delivered 1-2-1 in person, in local family hubs, local libraries, schools or the family home, we also deliver 1-2-1 online.
Access to own transport would be ideal
Responsibilities
· Planning, preparing and delivering tutoring sessions to best meet academic needs and goals
· Assessing and reports on students’ progress on a regular basis
· Working to achieve an educational outcome as agreed with the referrer
· Adhering strictly to safeguarding policies and procedures
· Must be a qualified teacher with a TRN

· All tutors must have an Enhanced DBS
Hours available are between 10-30 a week, tutors can choose the volume of work they want.
We also give free access to CPD online training so tutors can gain knowledge and expertise as well as keeping up to date with their training. This includes Safeguarding and Prevent training.
