Overview
The Ideal candidate should have experience using Wincan VX to process the data for GDMS database. As part of ‘Round Tripping Process’ you will be responsible for merging the CCTV footages with GPS data using Wincan Vx and validate the project to make sure the connectivity between the points and linear drainage assets are maintained before producing professional reports and uploading the shapefiles back to National Highway database. You will also carry out quality assurance checks on completed OS19X standard surveys, provide constructive feedback to field operatives in line with WRC-approved methods, and ensure all reports and survey data are accurate, compliant, and delivered to colleagues and clients within agreed timescales.
Duties
- Create GDMS Wincan Project and generate section reports and node cards from it
- Process CCTV drainage survey footage captured by site teams.
- Code drainage defects to OS19X (5th Edition) standards using WinCan VX.
- Add GPS data to Wincan project and update the assets locations
- Perform quality checks on completed surveys and provide feedback to field operatives.
- Produce professional reports and deliverables for clients.
- Maintain job records and track survey progress.
- Use Microsoft Excel, Wincan VX and other relevant software.
Experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must have Experience with WinCan VX, OS19X coding, GDMS round tripping process and GIS software
- Good IT skills, particularly Excel.
- Ability to analyse data and spot inconsistencies.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Enjoy working with data and computer software.
- Like structured, process-driven work.
- Have strong attention to detail.
- Prefer an office-based environment over field work.
- Are interested in GIS, mapping, or technical reporting.
