Sales Assistant – Tron Kirk, Edinburgh | Part-time | 8 hours per week
£13.45 per hour
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and personable Sales Assistant to represent our business at our retail space in Tron Kirk, Edinburgh.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys textiles, art and beautiful products made in Scotland. You must provide excellent customer service.
You will be responsible for creating a welcoming shopping experience, helping customers and tourists discover our products and sharing the story behind our Scottish-made knitwear brand.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming customers and providing warm, attentive service
- Helping customers choose products, colours and styles
- Learning about our knitwear, fibres, collections and Scottish manufacturing
- Confidently explaining the quality and craftsmanship behind our products
- Processing sales and payments
- Keeping the display and retail space looking attractive and well presented
- Replenishing stock and maintaining an organised sales area
- Representing the Hilary Jane Keyes brand in a friendly and professional manner
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and confident speaking to customers
- Naturally enthusiastic about fashion, knitwear and beautiful products
- Comfortable with selling and recommending products
- Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Well presented and professional
- Ideally experienced in retail, sales or customer service, although enthusiasm and the right attitude are just as important
Hours
8 hours per week – two 4-hour shifts
Or
8 hours per week - 4 two hour shift (covering lunch breaks)
The shifts will be worked between Saturday and Monday, with Sunday availability essential.
The exact shift pattern can be agreed with the successful candidate.
