Season is an independent cookware company. Four London stores, our own range of knives, chopping boards and pans, and a serious plan to become a national brand. We sell things we're proud of to people who care about cooking.
Every retailer claims high standards. Walk into most shops and you can see how much they mean it. We are trying to build something genuinely better - in how the store looks, how well the team knows its subject, how a customer is treated when they walk in with a question. This takes real work, every day, and it needs a manager who cares about the difference between good and excellent, and finds mediocrity quietly unbearable.
That is the opportunity. Not "gain retail experience" - learn to run a store to a standard most of the industry has given up on, with real autonomy, in a business ambitious enough to make the work matter. Exceptional people make an obvious difference here, and are rewarded accordingly - in pay, in scope, and in how far they go as the business grows.
If you love food, so much the better. You'll be surrounded by it, by people who cook, and by customers who'd rather make the effort.
The job
- Lead, coach and develop the store team - this is the core of the role

- Support the cooking classes that run in store (a tutor leads them; you make them run well)
You
- You've led a team in retail, hospitality or another service business, and made it measurably better
- You coach naturally and hold standards without drama
- You're calm, organised, and good on the operational detail
