3–5 days per week (negotiable)
Temporary position until end of August with the potential to become permanent for the right person
Cathedral View Childcare is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Nursery Assistant to join our team at our beautiful Littleport nursery.
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody looking to gain experience in Early Years, return to childcare, or join a growing nursery group with a strong reputation for high-quality care and education. We are seeking someone who is passionate about supporting young children and who shares our commitment to creating a warm, nurturing and inspiring environment. Our Littleport setting opened in 2025 and has been purposefully designed to reflect the Cathedral View ethos of curiosity, awe and wonder.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting children aged 0–5 years in their learning, development and daily routines
- Helping to create engaging play and learning opportunities
- Assisting with mealtimes, personal care and hygiene routines
- Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Helping to maintain a safe, clean and welcoming nursery environment
- Following safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies at all times
- Supporting the wider team to deliver outstanding childcare
What We're Looking For
- A genuine passion for working with children
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability and flexibility
- Previous childcare experience is desirable but not essential
- An Early Years qualification is beneficial but not required

This position is offered on a temporary basis initially, with the opportunity to become a permanent member of the Cathedral View team for the right candidate.
