Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using tools such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and OpenStack to support growth initiatives.
- Automate deployment pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and Shell Scripting to streamline software releases and updates.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively using tools like New Relic, Splunk, Elasticsearch, and Nagios to ensure high availability.
- Collaborate with development teams on microservices architecture utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, Weblogic, JBoss, Tomcat, WebSphere, and REST APIs for efficient service delivery.
- Maintain configuration management and version control using SVN, GitHub, GitLab, TFS, or similar platforms to ensure consistency across environments.
- Conduct disaster recovery planning and implement strategies to safeguard data integrity and system resilience in cloud and on-premises setups.
- Support software development lifecycle (SDLC), including system testing, debugging, release management, and continuous integration practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies including VMware and Virtualization concepts.
- Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes for deploying scalable applications.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash (Unix shell), Groovy or Perl for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with database systems including MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database or T-SQL for data management.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, DNS, WAN/LAN configurations and TCP socket programming.
- Experience with DevOps practices such as continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), release management and system testing.
- Knowledge of software development frameworks like Ruby on Rails or.NET is a plus.
- Ability to gather requirements effectively through collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills combined with a proactive approach to incident management and system optimization.
