Landscape / Grounds Maintenance Lead Operative
Due to continued growth, we are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and hard-working Lead Operative who has a can-do attitude to join our existing landscaping division. Working out of our Penrith depot you will help to manage the successful delivery of landscaping contracts throughout the Northwest of England and southwest Scotland.
Based at our regional depot in Penrith, you will join an experienced team in what is a long established and successful multi-disciplined, national contracting organisation. You will lead a team of operatives on landscaping and ground maintenance activities on commercial projects, ensuring a high quality, professional and efficient service is provided throughout.
Typical work tasks will include;
· Preparation of sites,
· Leading landscaping operatives,
· Landscape implementation,
· Planting,
· Seeding,
· Turfing,
· General landscape maintenance,
· General site management,
· Data recording and reporting.

· Hourly Rate - up to £15.00 ph., subject to experience
· Full-time, minimum 8 hours per day on site, with paid travel time to & from site

Experience
· Comprehensive knowledge of landscaping & commercial grounds maintenance
· Previous team leader experience essential
· Excellent communication skills, and the ability to liaise with clients, management, and all other members of staff.
Certification
· CSCS construction, LISS or FISS card desirable, but not essential. Training will be provided to obtain the card if necessary.
· SSSTS desirable, but not essential. Training will be provided to obtain the card if necessary.
· A Full UK driving license is essential to the role.
